Energy audits are NON-EVASIVE inspections of existing homes designed to determine how much energy and water a home uses, and to provide a written report which makes recommendations describing steps which could be taken to reduce home energy and water consumption costs, CCS conducts all inspections to the terms of NACHI standards of practices.

To Start; the process contact CCS collect all your energy bills from the last 12-18 months, gas, water, power and mail copies to our office, CCS,12663 Ralston St. Sylmar, Ca. 91342 make sure you send us all your return info and e-mail address. CCS will then send you a questionnaire by e-mail, fax or mail and make an appointment with you for a free walk through and consultation; the questionnaire should be completed at least five days prior to the consultation. We’ll provide you all other details after assessing your energy bills.
WHAT IS INVOLVED WITH THE AUDIT? A NON-EVASIVE HOME INSPECTION USING THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY TO LOCATE PROBLEMACTIC ARES IN YOUR HOME, LANDSCAPE AND SWIM POOL, THEN MAKE PROFESSINAL RECOMMENDATIONS THAT PUT AND END TO WASTE. WE USE THERMAL IMAGING AND OTHER TECNOLOGY.
CCS shall walk the entire interior, attic, crawl space and exterior to inspect and record the homes:
1- Test all temperature, humidity and air draft levels throughout the entire home, crawl and attic.
2- Re-test after pressurizing the home including a thermal imaging scan of any possible air leaks.
3- Record all household appliances, computers and electrical gadgets.
4- Thermal assessment of the heating and air conditioning system(s) Check thermostat, filters, efficiency and return balances.
5- Inspect ductwork, connections, inside of ducts, duct taping, sealing, proper hanging and proper sizing.
6- Inspect attic/crawl space Insulation, proper thickness, application and type. Air barriers, openings between members, air leaks, moisture.
7- Water heater, efficiency, size, performance, carbon monoxide leaks, age and connections. (Improper sizing)
8- Plumbing water flow rates, pressure testing unforeseen leaky pipes, test all plumbing fixtures, exterior hose bibs and irrigation system.
9- Check all lights, fans and switches, check all bulbs, switches, dimmers, surge protectors, circulating pumps, etc.
10- Foundation/basement and crawl space, air openings, cracks, moisture barriers, insulation, water or moisture leaks, etc.
11- Proper attic and crawl space ventilation.
12- Interior walk-through; insulation in walls, openings, doors, windows, low e-windows, recessed lighting canisters leaking air into attic.
13- Roof inspection, soffits and other areas that may allow air or moisture leaks.
14- Exterior inspection, any type of envelope issues, stucco, masonry, etc. that would allow air or moisture infiltration.
15- Landscape design and watering methods
16- Check for and pinpoint any under-ground hidden water leaks.
17- Swim pool locate any underground or unforeseen leaky pipes, check pool equipment for energy efficiency.
